On My Way Childcare Center Breaks Ground on Expanded Facility

Peggy and Eric Fuentes, owners of On My Way Early Learning and Childcare Center are joined by friends and family, as well as county and local officials at the Nov. 21 ground breaking for their expansion.

MIDDLETOWN — More than 60 guests joined Peggy and Eric Fuentes, the owners of On My Way Early Learning and Childcare Center in Middletown, at the ground-breaking ceremony on Nov. 21 for their 10,000 square foot, four-acre addition that will be open in early spring 2015.

This addition will double the capacity of their early learning/childcare service in the Middletown/Goshen community and bring an estimated 25 jobs to the area. The state-of-the-art facility, along with the existing building, will now provide eight acres of outdoor fun including more natural trails, large outdoor play areas, a mini sprinkler park, trike track, courtyards, a kiss-and-go lane as well as eight additional spacious classrooms.

“Our quality early learning services are in high demand and we are thrilled to be able to meet the needs of the community we service,” said Peggy Fuentes.

“We have a growing wait list of clients that are eager to bring their children to our center and we needed to be able to meet that demand by expanding our current state of the art facility,” added Eric Fuentes.

Joining in on the festivities of the ground breaking ceremony were County Executive Steve Neuhaus, Wallkill Supervisor Dan Depew as well as board members of the Orange County Chamber of Commerce, local business leaders and family and friends.

The Fuentes’ have owned and operated On My Way Early Learning and Childcare Center, which is a state licensed facility, since May of 2009 and currently provide services for more than 100 families with children ranging from six weeks to 12 years of age. On My Way has been the proud recipient of numerous awards including Business of the Year by Orange County Chamber of Commerce, the Markel Safety Award for four consecutive years, the Time Herald Record Readers Choice Award winner for Best Childcare and recently named Best Early Learning and Childcare Services by the Middletown Awards Program.
